Photos from Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Dinner

I took over 111 photos and ended up with just 2 shots with turkey in it. 50 points!

I flew down to Texas (DFW) to visit my family for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. You literally get to lounge around all day in the house, gorge on food and then take a nap. It’s pretty wonderful.

This trip was a little strange because it involved cleaning out the attic and garage, in addition to all the regular I’m-at-home-for-the-first-and-probably-only-time-in-months activities (visiting friends, family-friends, relatives and neighbors). Not only did I get to go to What-A-Burger a whopping 3 times (and I only had meat once!), I sifted through 5 boxes of old photos, school papers and souvenirs. Among my most interesting finds were:

  • an elementary school project on Australia (obviously, it was meant to be!)
  • postcards from all the bars/clubs I regularly visited while living in London (post TK about this)
  • an “Australia Death Chart” my friend Michele made for me before I left for Australia (post TK about this. Trust me, this is not to be missed!)
  • my dad’s map of Europe from a trip he took there in… the 70s?
