Wombat Wednesday: Going Gothic
Wombat Wednesday is a photo series showcasing the travels of Mr. Wombat. Who is Mr. Wombat? Well, he’s a stuffed wombat I brought back from Australia. Why? Because wombats are awesome—especially Mr. Wombat who has been all over the world. Kind of.
Oh hey! It’s Wednesday again.
Can you guess where Mr. Wombat is visiting today?
Paris! Specifically, Notre Dame.
Last week I wrote about Arthur Frommer’s visit at the Boston Public Library and during the Q&A session, Mr. Frommer said his favorite travel destination is Paris. Maybe it’s a little cliché but, really, Paris is an amazing city. And one of my favorites.
I’ve been to the City of Lights a whopping four times so far—that’s more times than any other foreign city (excluding Sydney & London where I lived/studied for 4 months each). Of those four times, I’ve been to Notre Dame, um, maybe 6 or 7 times? It’s touristy but I still really enjoy seeing it while I’m in Paris. Kinda solidifies the experience for me.
(Mr. Wombat enjoyed Notre Dame, too.)
