Wombat Wednesday is a photo series showcasing the travels of Mr. Wombat. Who is Mr. Wombat? Well, he’s a stuffed wombat I brought back from Australia. Why? Because wombats are awesome—especially Mr. Wombat who has been all over the world. Kind of.
Well in honor of the fact that Bonnaroo’s 2010 lineup was announced yesterday, I’ve decided to post a photo from when Mr. Wombat visited Bonnaroo in 2008.
You’ll probably notice that Mr. Wombat is missing from this photograph. Due to a certain mishap (story to come eventually… maybe), photographic evidence proving Mr. Wombat was at Bonnaroo is severely lacking (meaning: not at all). You’ll just have to trust me.
Also, you might notice that the Kangaroo/Australia towel is the same as when Mr. Wombat and I visited Puerto Rico. Perhaps if you examine this photo closely, maybe you’ll see Mr. Wombat hiding in my backpack. Or maybe he’s just wandered off in search of… food.
Anyways, Bonnaroo in 2008 was headlined by Pearl Jam. Highlights for me included Sigur Rós, M.I.A., Tiësto, MGMT, Vampire Weekend and Iron & Wine. Then there was that whole Kanye fiasco.

Vampire Weekend rocks! I've seen them live a few times now.
Oh, and I would be completely jealous if you went to Glastonbury. That's been on my list for a long, long time.

I've been a bad attendee at music festivals in Australia but can't wait to sample what Europe has to offer. Does look like a great concert too.
Oh and so coincidence but I'm listening to Vampire Weekend right now :)

Totally jealous! I'd go again but there are too many other music festivals that I haven't been to yet, so priority goes to them.

Yes, a couple times. I used to cover it for Entertainment Weekly (and my dad
was the original financial supervisor). Alas, I haven't been able to make it
the past two years and this year is no exception! :-/
