Wombat Wednesday is a photo series showcasing the travels of Mr. Wombat. Who is Mr. Wombat? Well, he’s a stuffed wombat I brought back from Australia. Why? Because wombats are awesome—especially Mr. Wombat who has been all over the world. Kind of.
In case you hadn’t noticed, Australia has been on my mind. The guy above is a real live wombat. Isn’t he adorable? (Not as adorable as Mr Wombat, but you know, still adorable.)
This photo is from when I visited Featherdale outside of Sydney. It was nice there but not as cool as Taronga Zoo.

Yeah, wombats are the best! They were my favorite exotic animals I saw while in Australia. Most of the others are likely to kill you!

I remember those cute guys from my visit to Australia in 2005. We went to a petting zoo outside Sydney near the ocean and it was filled with cute creatures! Oh I must blog about Australia now!!!!!!!!! So cute!

Australia is really easy, actually, to visit on a trip. It's so similar to Europe & the U.S. in so many ways, that's it can be a nice break from heavy travel. It's definitely worth a visit, though – otherwise you'd be missing out on a whole continent!

My college room mate went to Australia for a summer and it never interested me. Yet, after tweeting and reading your blog, The Aussie Nomad and a recent post from Nomadic Matt I'm starting to question if I should put Australia up on my to explore list.

Wombats are fat little buggers! The animals there are so weird. And more often than not they will kill you! I'm not sure how anyone survives in Australia, but at least wombats are cute.

How funny! That little guy is cute, but almost doesn't even look real — he looks kind of stuffed :) I have never been to Australia, but can't wait to go! Especially since I hear they have all kinds of interesting creatures.

Seriously. Also just about everything in Australia will probably kill you!

I see I'm not the only one with a constant. Hopefully Mr. Bacon and Mr. Wombat will cross paths in the future.
