I recently stayed at the Le Meridien hotel (website) in downtown Budapest. The hotel was centrally located (really, you couldn’t get more central than it’s location right at Deák Ferenc tér) and offered beautiful views of the Erzsébet Square below.
Our superior King room featured a small couch and table, a desk to work on, a flat-screen TV with plenty of movie options, a luxurious bathroom and an extremely comfortable King-size bed.
I was initially intrigued by the 5-star hotel because they had an active online social media presence (foursquare and facebook). The hotel was lovely and the staff was courteous. It’s also a gay-friendly property.
Here are some photos from our stay at the Le Meridien…

Its nice to have a bit of luxury now and again, and that hotel looks great. To be honest, they had me as soon as I saw that Toblerone in the refridgerator, in the photo :-)

This Le Meridien looks amazing and expensive as well. Amazing lighting.

Thanks Shalu. Budapest has quite a lot of luxury hotels and I think you’d find them more affordable than in most other cities—partly why I wanted to check this one out in Budapest.
