Elephant at Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Elephant at Elephant Nature Park

I snapped this photo while at the Elephant Nature Park just outside of Chiang Mai, Thailand. I was hoping to get a nice profile shot of an elephant so I could potentially use it for drawing and sketching later. Most of my other photos are close-ups of elephant skin, elephant ears or the elephants’ enormous feet and toes. Check out this beautiful elephant’s trunk, though—it’s so long!

The Elephant Nature Park is a rescue sanctuary for elephants in Thailand who need the help. You can read more about my personal experience here: Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai or an excellent write-up on volunteering there from D Travels Round: An inside look at Elephant Nature Park.
