A little more background, if you’re interested:

I spent nearly 2 full weeks in this hut and though it has was the simplest one I’ve stayed in over the past 10 months of travel, it ranks right up there with the best of them. The hut was on Om Beach, about a 15 minute rickshaw ride from downtown Gokarna. It was the most peaceful beach I’ve stayed on and it’s probably the best in all of India, as far as I’m concerned. More on that later.

The restaurant/guest house I rented the hut from didn’t have running water. It was bought in large buckets every afternoon, which meant no faucet, no shower head and needless to say a squat toilet. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!
