As an iPhone addict I’m no stranger to social media apps. Instagram is one of those that I find fun and interesting. It’s basically the best place for peeking at other people’s best travel photos (and a great way to catch the world’s best sunsets…every day!). In Canada over the summer I captured a few of my favorite moments on Instagram. An excellent and easy way to remember my trip.
And for even more Canadian wanderlust, check out the country’s official Tumblr which curates some of the web’s best images and content from Canada: Keep Exploring — Canada’s Tumblr.
My flight to Canada was in this tiny, little prop-plane. It pretty much ingrained into my mind the stereotypical image of Canada: cute, quaint and kind of old-fashioned in an endearing way.
Fondue at Toronto’s Cheesewerks—a new restaurant in town focused on local ingredients. Arguably the city’s best grilled cheese sandwich.
Okay, this one’s just supposed to be funny. But I was seriously excited to have some Canada Dry…in Canada! That doesn’t happen every day!
A giant spoon in the lobby of the Zero 1 design hotel in Montreal. It was one of those trendy hotels that’s obviously trying hard to be cool…but it doesn’t matter because it actually was.
Montreal seemed to me a city all about embracing the finer things in life. Peppered with many food and flower markets, Montreal residents live off their almost-daily market visits. No better way to live life than to do so in a food market!

I have so many friends in Montreal and all love this city. I really want to see it :) Please show more pictures with this place :)
Hey Izy – that’s great advice – I’ll be sure to publish more photos on here of Montreal. Thanks for your suggestion!
To hold you over, check out my album on Facebook from my time in Montreal earlier this year: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151040367975770.422257.234793305769&type=3
I love Instagram and the ability to capture a mood! You’ve done a great job in capturing the mood with these photos. I never really thought of visiting Montreal before but you’ve made it look so funky and trendy that I think I might just add it to my to-visit list!
Wow Emm – that’s cool to hear. Montreal is definitely a funky & trendy city — but it’s a bit more high-brow than nearby Toronto which is also funky & trendy :)
Awesome photos! I’ve never been to Montreal and I’m actually pretty new to Instagram, so it’s awesome to see your adventures from a different kind of lens. I’ll definitely need to make my way to Montreal sometime soon!

Thanks Kay!
Love the spoon. Quebec is so quirky.
Definitely agree that Quebec is quirky!
I am just starting to get into Intsagram and am planning a trip across america so it will be a good roadtest of how I like the app.
Sounds fun! It’d be fun to see a bunch of photos from the road trip, James. Good luck!
