Experiencing the social side of Tel Aviv tourism: #tlv4fun, a social media & blog project from Travels of Adam

In an attempt to showcase the power of social media in travel, TravelsofAdam.com has partnered with several companies to highlight a trip to Tel Aviv, Israel from June 5 to 10, 2013. The trip will focus on discovering Tel Aviv’s arts, culture and nightlife in the hot destination, with a special emphasis on providing gay/LGBT travel tips.

Tel Aviv is one of the region’s hottest destinations for travelers and its annual gay pride has been named one of the best to attend in 2013 by sources such as OutTraveler and Advocate Magazine. Adam Groffman, the creator and writer of TravelsofAdam.com will attend Tel Aviv’s pride events as a tourist and share his trip adventure through social media in real-time. Notably this will be done through Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #tlv4fun, as well as YouTube video blog updates and more.

TravelsofAdam.com has partnered with travel companies OutInTLV.com, Atlas Hotels and Steele Travel to make this trip a success. Additionally, Mr. Groffman will be promoting Andrew Christian products while in Tel Aviv.

The #tlv4fun project came about as a creative way to promote a destination through social media and blogging. With invitations for users and readers to participate by sharing their own tips and questions through social media, #tlv4fun is expected to generate conversations about Tel Aviv as a travel destination. Organized independently from any official tourism or political organizations, the content created will be free from any outside influence.

Following the #tlv4fun live social media blogging, a short ebook and guide will be produced and distributed for free online.
