The Ultimate Guide to Stockholm for Hipsters

It’s here — finally! A new Hipster City Guide! And this is a big one because it’s for one of Europe’s coolest cities. That’s a hard designation to give out, but I feel confident calling Stockholm a “capital of cool.”

Stockholm, thanks to its reputation for good design and quality products, has always been at the forefront of many international trends. Today, it’s one of the most unique and unusual city break destinations in Europe.

I visited for the first time last autumn for a music festival, on the cusp of Sweden’s cooler weather. But even if the weather wasn’t perfect for my autumn visit, I left the city knowing it’s one of those places worth a repeat visit. Over the course of a long weekend, and in-between gigs at the Popaganda Festival, I found myself bar-hopping from one café to another—constantly being surprised by all the quirky things Stockholm had to offer.

So, it’s with great excitement that I introduce you to a guide with over 50 recommendations on things to do, places to see, what to eat, where to stay and where to party. Get the full guide here: travelsofadam.com/city-guides/stockholm — always free, available online and all with my own personal travel recommendations based on places I’ve visited.

Stockholm Hipster City Guide

Stockholm is famous for being a city spread out on an archipelago of over 30,000 islands, so navigating all of that (especially on a weekend trip) can be tricky. There’s one place, though, worth exploring if you want to get that local, authentic travel experience everyone’s always after. And that’s the island of Södermalm.

To whet your appetite for Stockholm, check out some of my photos from Södermalm (specifically around the über-hip neighborhood of SoFo) and then make sure to click through to the free guide for more goodies!

Stockholm is just sooo cool. At one point on my ten day trip there, I forgot I eventually had to go home… was completely mentally prepared to just stay, haha

    • Adam says:

Hahah, yeah, Stockholm is one of those places it’s easy to just get stuck in the moment and want to stay. It was tough for me to leave, too! Glad you recognize some of the places, also.

  3. Amazing city! You can see and explore so many things! There are wonderful day-trips from Stockholm. Highly recommend!

Stockholm is one of my soul cities – so to speak. I love the fact that you can’t get bored. You simply must get out of the house and you will find something to do!
