I recently wrote about my day trip to Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, but I can’t help myself to post some more. Elephants are just too cute!
And I’ve finally uploaded some videos, too. Watch the one after the jump of the baby elephant playing in the water! I could’ve watched him for hours!
The nature park has 34 (adorable) rescued elephants, including two babies. My day trip there has turned out to be one of the most memorable tourist “attractions” I’ve done while in Thailand!
I was somewhat surprised to find how large these elephants were. I mean, I knew elephants are big…just not THAT big!
The elephants were exceptionally cute when playing in the water. They were supposed to be washing in the Thai river, but as you can see in the video below, some of them were also having a lot of fun!
This baby elephant just couldn’t have enough fun in the river! He fell in and out repeatedly and also sprayed himself all over with water. Just watching him have fun really makes you appreciate what the Elephant Nature Park is doing to preserve these majestic animals.
See how furry the elephants are?
There’s a pathway at the Elephant Nature Park that serves as a bridge over the elephants path from their grassy feeding & play area to the river where they get washed. Standing over them was a really cool experience.
What do you think? Are these really cute elephants or what???
yeah for cute elephants!
Love elephants. Very cute!!
I want one! I could watch the video of the elephant playing in the water all day long.
