It's a good park. And I always seem to randomly come across it when I'm in the area. Hard to avoid, really.

In NYC, it's a complete mess to ever win Wicked tickets! Loved the show as well.

Ah Bryant Park.. I like that park.

  5. You are super lucky to win the first time you try! It's indeed nice to feel like a winner. They gave us badges we can wear on our clothes, saying “we won the ticket” with big wicked logo and name. So I keep that as souvenir. (even though unfortunately one of the badges' pin broke when we moved around.)

That's awesome you were able to grab cheap tickets for the show! I did a similar thing once in NYC (wrote about it <a href=”http://travelsofadam.com/2009/11/broadway-beer-bauhaus-in-nyc/”here) and we got cheap lottery tickets for Rock of Ages. I'd never heard of the lottery before so it was really cool. Plus, it's always nice to feel like a winner.

    Boston's great!

I lived down the street from Jamaica Pond up until about 9am this morning. Now I'm sitting in the airport anxiously awaiting my flight's eventual departure….

  9. You're making me homesick with a few of those photos! (I'm from Boston as well)

  10. You've got the best photos.

  11. Interesting post, Adam!

I like particularly the Wicked. Here in Sydney, everyday there's a lottery to get a couple of Wicked ticket, front row, for cheap (from above $100 to $30 each!) After about 10 times my husband and I came to the theater for the lucky draw, we got the cheap tickets! Front Row! The show was fantastic, the dancing and singing are great. Have you watched it too?
